"Teaching high quality self-defense."

The heart of the martial arts programs offered at our academy is the Shaolin system of Kung fu.  Shaolin (Sil Lum) Kung fu is a 1500-year-old system of martial arts that has been taught in the U.S. for approximately 35 years.  Today, the ancient training methods are taught at our school as a way of gaining self-confidence and self-discipline, as well as developing excellent self-defense capabilities.

A large portion of Shaolin training is conducted through the performance of animal forms, in which we mimic the ways of animals, such as Tiger, Snake, Dragon, Crane, Leopard, and many more.  Each of these styles will teach the student unique and challenging methods of movement that will improve balance, coordination, and strength.  These animal methods also translate well into self-defense and fighting techniques.  In application, the school focuses upon the kung fu styles of Hung Gar/Choy Lee Fut as taught by Sigung Seng Jeorng Au and Ja Kari Do (Shaolin animal fighting systems) as taught by Master Tom Pardue.
